Kansas, City, MO- The MIAA released the All MIAA postseason awards for the 2023 softball season.
Sophomore, Gianna Navarro earned All-MIAA Honorable Mention. This is Navarro's second year of earining All-MIAA status, after being named Honorable Mention last season.
Navarro started in 54 games at second base and was the leadoff hitter for the Jets. She finished the season with a .376 batting average, 10th in the MIAA. Navarro recorded 70 hits, 9 doubles, 1 triple, 2 homers, 23 RBIs, and scored 29 runs. On the defensive end, Navarro finished with 115 putouts with 111 assists and a .946 fielding percentage.
Navarro recorded a season high in hits, going 4-5 with 2 RBIs against SNU. Navarro had a season high 5 assists and 7 putouts against Nebraska Kearney.
