Fugate Gymnasium (Basketball/Volleyball/Wrestling)
Fugate Gymnasium

This state-of-the-art Fugate Gymnasium, completed in 1999, includes an 1,242 seat gymnasium, coaches offices, and houses the Eck Fitness Center with aerobics/weight room, locker rooms and an elevated indoor track. Also located inside O'Shaughnessy Hall are some of the best athletic training facilities and trainers that all Newman athletes have access to.

McCarthy Field (Baseball)
McCarthy Field is the home field for the Jets' practices and games. What was once a barren wheat field is now one of the best playing surfaces in the Midwest. Deemed by players as a “hitters park,” McCarthy Field has seen thousands of balls soar its walls. With dimensions of 330’ down the left field line and 315’ to the right field line, a gusty south wind helps batters swing balls over its fence. Standing 400 feet away, centerfield is the signature of McCarthy Field, a 30-foot wall, known to most as the “Green Monster.” McCarthy field’s playing area is surrounded by a shale warning track, which circles the entire inner fence line. The Jets use professional-style clay for the mound and plate, with a shale/Turface mix for the infield surface. Also near the field, the Jets have four enclosed batting cages. The Jets have an adjacent area for tee and soft-toss work as well. Pitchers are able to keep busy with access to two portable mounds, as well as a bullpen consisting of three regulation length clay mounds.

Newman University is one of few schools to have a clubhouse attached directly to its field. This spacious area allows for personal lockers, a lounge area consisting of couches, recliners, a video/entertainment center, as well as ping-pong table for player competition. The coaches' office is Internet ready, with fax and phone for daily needs. This area is air-conditioned and heated for year-round use. The clubhouse was recently painted, and new tile laid to encourage players to spend free time at the field.

Newman Softball Field (Softball)
NU Softball Field

Newman Softball Field is encompassed by a 5’ wooden fence that is 205’ down the left and right field lines and 200’ in centerfield. Beyond the center field fence is a scoreboard and lights for the entire field. The outfield has natural grass with the infield having a shale (dirt) surface. The dugouts are made of cinder block and are covered.

The batting cage is located next to the field down the left field line. The visitor’s bullpen is located down the right field line outside the playing field and the home team bullpen is located beyond the left field fence.

Restroom facilities are located in the Maintenance Building located beyond the right field fence.

Wilkins Field (Soccer)

Wilkins Field

With a seating capacity of over 500 fans, Wilkins Field features a natural grass playing surface, complete with covered team dugouts and a two-story press box. Prior to the 2010 season, new wind screens bearing the Newman University logos, the NCAA logos, and "Newman University Jet Soccer" were added to the fence surrounding the playing surface to create a true home field advantage, and an atmosphere second to none in the Heartland conference.
